    Leadership & Governance

ARWA Community Development Center is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors committed to our mission of empowering individuals and families through education, leadership, and advocacy.

    How We Are Governed

    • Our board may include between 3 and 15 directors, who serve one-year renewable terms.
    • Directors serve without compensation for their board service.
    • The board meets at least four times per year.
    • Officers — President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer — are elected by the board for one-year terms.

    Our Commitment

ARWA does not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability.

    Community Membership

ARWA offers a non-voting membership: community members can participate in programs, be recognized, and attend events. The board may also approve classes of non-voting affiliates — individuals, businesses, or organizations that support our mission — who may receive recognition at events or on our website.
